How builds work in Monster Hunter Outlanders

Armor in Monster Hunter Outlanders gives a set bonus at two pieces of the same monster's armor, so a build is usually two or three two-piece bonuses plus one free slot. Two pairs show up in nearly every early build: two Kulu-Ya-Ku pieces for a large attack and element bonus while your health is full, and two Radiant Great Jagras pieces for a second full-health bonus. Mid game, Tzitzi-Ya-Ku and Odogaron both reward a Perfect Evade with a 12-second damage boost, and they stack.

Weapons never lose sharpness in this game, so skills that protect sharpness are not needed. Focus on attack, critical and element skills. Gacha Adventurers have a fixed weapon, so these builds matter most for your Fated Adventurer and for gearing the Adventurers you use most. Set names are our translations of the Japanese client and may read differently in English.
